New Directives: Strict SOPs issued for events at women's colleges across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Directorate of Higher Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has introduced a set of rigorous new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for organizing welcome and farewell ceremonies, sports galas, and cultural activities in women’s colleges. Under these regulations, performances such as music, dance, and modeling are now strictly banned on campus premises.

Key Highlights of the New Policy:

  • Prior Approval: College administrations must obtain formal permission from the Director or Regional Director of Higher Education before organizing any event. A complete list of participants and guests must also be submitted in advance.
  • Mandatory Uniforms: Students are required to wear their official college uniforms during all sanctioned activities and events.
  • Social Media & Mobile Ban: The use of mobile phones during college hours and functions is prohibited. Additionally, students and staff are banned from sharing photos or videos of college events on social media platforms.
  • Cultural Adherence: Authorities have emphasized that these measures are designed to ensure that college events align with local social and cultural values while maintaining student privacy.

Disciplinary Warnings

The Directorate has mandated strict security arrangements for all approved events. Furthermore, it has warned that any college administration or principal found in non-compliance with these rules will face stern disciplinary action.
