Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has announced the launch of a three-day “Ramazan Savings Festival” to be held at Jilani Park (Race Course Park), Lahore, from February 13 to 15, 2026. This initiative is designed to provide essential commodities at subsidized rates to help families manage the rising cost of living ahead of the holy month.

Key Highlights of the Festival

The festival, organized under the supervision of the Punjab Food Authority (PFA), aims to blend relief with cultural celebration:

  • Subsidized Essential Items: Dedicated relief stalls will offer flour, ghee, sugar, pulses, rice, fruits, and vegetables at significantly reduced prices.
  • Family-Friendly Environment: The event will feature activities highlighting local heritage, traditions, and regional culture, making it a recreational outing for families.
  • Strict Quality Control: PFA Director General Asim Javed has confirmed that special teams will be deployed on-site to monitor food safety, hygiene, and price compliance at all stalls.
