Monthly Growth: In January 2026 alone, mobile phone imports totaled $179.380 million, showing a year-on-year surge of 33.62% from January 2025.
Local Manufacturing Dominance: While commercial imports remain low, local assembly plants produced 30.21 million handsets in the 2025 calendar year, including 15.64 million smartphones.
Market Shift: Smartphones now account for 71% of the devices active on Pakistan’s mobile networks, reflecting a steady transition toward higher-end mobile usage.
