Unilever Pakistan Limited has taken a significant step toward workplace equity by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Family Educational Services Foundation (FESF) on March 31, 2026. This partnership is dedicated to bridging the employment gap for the Deaf community by integrating individuals into Unilever’s salesforce and extended value chain.

Fostering an Inclusive Workforce

The initiative focuses on creating sustainable pathways for the Deaf community through specialized recruitment and training:

  • Deaf Reach Network: The collaboration leverages the established Deaf Reach network of the FESF to transform recruitment into a gateway for dignified employment.
  • Value Chain Integration: Beyond direct corporate roles, the partnership aims to embed inclusive practices across Unilever’s broader supply and sales networks.
  • Broader Corporate Social Responsibility: This move aligns with Unilever’s ongoing social impact goals, which also include other local partnerships such as the Standard Chartered Foundation’s eighth cohort of the Women in Tech Accelerator in Pakistan.
