This initiative specifically targets students, office workers, and daily commuters who are most affected by rising inflation and transport costs.

Key Details of the Relief Package

  • Zero Fare: Commuters can travel at no cost on all major bus routes, including the Green and Blue lines, for the next 30 days.
  • Budget Allocation: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has allocated Rs 350 Million to cover all fares during this period.
  • Strategic Goal: The move is designed to provide immediate fiscal relief against the record-high fuel prices, which have seen petrol reach Rs 458.40 and diesel Rs 520.35.
