✧ GENERATE BRIEFING +
JazzCash, a prominent financial services subsidiary of VEON, has officially inaugurated a state-of-the-art AI Foundry and advanced usability testing lab at its Islamabad headquarters, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the JazzCash consumer app. The facility was jointly opened by VEON Group CEO Kaan Terzioglu, VEON Chief Payments and Digital Assets Officer Ahmet Kayhan, Jazz Chairman Aamir Ibrahim, JazzCash CEO Murtaza Ali, and Mobilink Bank CEO Haaris Chaudhary. The newly established hub merges artificial intelligence, deep customer research, and rapid prototyping into a unified workspace dedicated to engineering next-generation digital financial solutions.A standout capability of the Islamabad testing lab is its integration of advanced eye-tracking technology, which captures precise, frame-by-frame user behavior metrics—such as visual fixation, hesitation zones, and interaction friction points—while navigating digital interfaces. This granular empirical data enables product development teams to isolate usability flaws prior to broad commercial deployment.
JazzCash, a subsidiary of VEON, has opened an AI Foundry and advanced usability testing lab at its Islamabad headquarters as the digital financial services provider moves to integrate artificial intelligence and customer research into product development.
The facility was inaugurated by VEON Group CEO Kaan Terzioglu, VEON Chief Payments and Digital Assets Officer Ahmet Kayhan, Jazz Chairman Aamir Ibrahim, JazzCash CEO Murtaza Ali and Mobilink Bank CEO Haaris Chaudhary. The launch coincided with the 10th anniversary of the JazzCash consumer app.
A key feature of the new facility is eye-tracking technology, which records where users focus their attention, where they pause and where they encounter difficulties while navigating digital products. The system provides researchers with detailed, frame-by-frame data on user behaviour.
JazzCash said the technology will allow product teams to identify usability problems that may not emerge through conventional interviews or surveys. Teams can then test digital features and customer journeys with users before products are rolled out more widely.
The AI Foundry combines artificial intelligence, customer research and rapid prototyping, creating a dedicated environment for developing and refining financial products around customer needs.
The initiative comes as JazzCash expands its digital financial-services footprint. The company currently serves around 62 million customers and has built a network of 1.7 million Raast-enabled QR merchants, according to company-related reports.
JazzCash said the new capability will help shape its next phase of growth by enabling the company to develop simpler and more relevant digital financial services while improving the customer experience.
