Faisalabad-based J.K. Spinning Mills Limited has officially committed over Rs2.3 billion ($8.3 million) to a comprehensive capital expenditure program aimed at modernizing its fabric processing and spinning divisions. According to a formal notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company is channeling approximately Rs1.789 billion toward upgrading its fabric processing unit. This upgrade features advanced machinery acquisitions, including a Goller Complexa two-stage bleaching range, an eight-chamber POSLU stenter with a 3,400mm working width, and a biomass-fired thermal oil heater designed to optimize energy costs and manufacturing efficiency.Additionally, Rs515.5 million has been allocated under the company’s ongoing Balancing, Modernisation and Replacement (BMR) initiative for its spinning division. This segment of the investment involves replacing aging hardware with 16 high-speed LMW ring-frame machines, two Toyota Simplex frame sets, an automatic bale plucker, and associated automated infrastructure to boost yarn quality and throughput.

J.K. Spinning Mills Limited has committed more than Rs2.3 billion ($8.3 million) to upgrade its fabric processing and spinning facilities as the textile manufacturer moves to improve production efficiency and product quality.

The company disclosed the investment in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), saying around Rs1.789 billion would be spent on modernising its fabric processing unit.

The processing upgrade includes a Goller Complexa two-stage bleaching range, an eight-chamber POSLU stenter with a 3,400mm working width and a biomass-fired thermal oil heater, along with related civil and installation work.

J.K. Spinning Mills said the new equipment is expected to improve manufacturing efficiency while raising the quality and competitiveness of its textile products.

A further Rs515.5 million has been allocated under the company’s ongoing Balancing, Modernisation and Replacement (BMR) programme for its spinning division. The plan includes replacing 16 high-speed LMW ring-frame machines, two Toyota Simplex frame sets, an automatic bale plucker and associated equipment.

The company said replacing ageing machinery would help streamline spinning operations, improve productivity and strengthen yarn quality. J.K. Spinning Mills has also secured bank financing under the Long Term Finance Facility (LTFF), with documentation and other formalities currently being completed.

J.K. Spinning Mills operates an integrated textile setup covering spinning, weaving, processing and stitching. Its corporate profile lists more than 200,000 spindles, while its processing operations are being expanded as part of its broader capacity-development strategy.
