✧ GENERATE BRIEFING

Pakistan State Oil (PSO) announced its financial results for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, posting a standalone profit after tax of Rs15.07 billion with an earnings per share (EPS) of Rs32.10. At the consolidated group level, profit after tax reached Rs25.49 billion on total revenue of Rs3.42 trillion.Despite a Rs10.7 billion fluctuation in the LNG segment, PSO's core business demonstrated strong resilience, with core gross profit climbing 20.5% to Rs81.9 billion from Rs67.9 billion in FY2025. Financial health was further reinforced by a reduction in trade receivables from Rs437.5 billion to Rs414.8 billion helped by a Rs34.3 billion drop in dues from SNGPL which, alongside lower discount rates, helped cut finance costs by 24%. PSO solidified its market leadership by capturing 42.7% of the white-oil market, maintaining a 99% share of aviation fuel, and generating over $360 million in foreign exchange. The company also expanded its retail footprint to 3,688 fuel outlets and over 350 convenience stores.

Pakistan State Oil (PSO) reported a standalone profit after tax of Rs15.07 billion for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, with earnings per share (EPS) of Rs32.10, according to the company’s financial results.

PSO’s gross profit increased to Rs99.9 billion in FY2026 from Rs96.7 billion a year earlier, reflecting continued profitability despite a challenging operating environment.

At the group level, consolidated profit after tax reached Rs25.49 billion, while consolidated revenue stood at Rs3.42 trillion during the year.

The company said its core business remained resilient despite a Rs10.7 billion fluctuation in the LNG segment. Excluding LNG, gross profit from core operations increased 20.5% to Rs81.9 billion, compared with Rs67.9 billion in FY2025.

PSO also reduced its trade receivables from Rs437.5 billion to Rs414.8 billion, while receivables from SNGPL alone declined by Rs34.3 billion. The company said these improvements, together with lower discount rates, helped reduce finance costs by 24%.

The company retained a leading position in Pakistan’s white-oil market with a 42.7% market share and maintained a 99% share of the aviation fuel market. PSO generated more than $360 million in foreign exchange during the year through fuel supplies to international airlines.

PSO also expanded its retail footprint, taking the number of outlets to 3,688, while its convenience-store network crossed 350 locations. CEO Javed Ahmed Cheema said the company ensured uninterrupted fuel supplies across Pakistan throughout FY2026 despite operating challenges.

The results mark a strong performance from PSO’s previous financial cycle, supported by improved liquidity management and steady core operational growth.
