L’Oréal Pakistan has secured first position in the “Sustainability Award – Four Pillars of Excellence” category for small and medium-sized enterprises at the Global Compact Network Pakistan (GCNP) Sustainability Awards 2026. Announced in Karachi, the recognition highlights the alignment of L’Oréal’s corporate operations with the ten universal principles of the United Nations Global Compact across human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption. Highlighting impactful community initiatives such as the Beauty for a Better Life vocational training program, digital literacy drives for women micro-entrepreneurs, and the Stand Up Against Street Harassment campaign the award underscores L’Oréal Groupe's broader commitment to driving circularity, climate transition, and social empowerment under its L’Oréal for the Future framework.

L’Oréal Pakistan has secured first position in the “Sustainability Award – Four Pillars of Excellence” category for small and medium-sized enterprises at the Global Compact Network Pakistan (GCNP) Sustainability Awards 2026.

This recognition reflects the alignment of L’Oréal’s operations and strategies with the ten universally accepted principles of the United Nations (UN) Global Compact in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption, as well as its contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). L’Oréal Groupe has been a member of the UN Global Compact since 2003 and has been consistently recognized as a UN Global Compact LEAD company for embedding the SDGs into its core strategy.

Rehan Saeed, Executive General Manager and CEO of L’Oréal Pakistan, stated: “L’Oréal believes in using beauty as a force for good. We will continue to empower women by building their capabilities, creating sustainable livelihood opportunities, and advocating for safe, inclusive spaces where they can thrive.”

Empowering Communities and Driving Inclusion

L’Oréal Pakistan has implemented several flagship social impact initiatives across the country:

  • Beauty for a Better Life: Supported by Fondation L’Oréal and run in partnership with the Depilex SmileAgain Foundation, this programme equips survivors of domestic violence and acid attacks, alongside other women, with professional beauty and hairstyling skills to build independent livelihoods.
  • Digital Literacy Program: Backed by the L’Oréal Fund for Women and executed in collaboration with CIRCLE, it provides women entrepreneurs with essential digital and financial tools to scale home-based micro-businesses.
  • Stand Up Against Street Harassment: Spearheaded by the L’Oréal Paris brand in partnership with Bedari, this advocacy platform trains communities on safe intervention methods to foster secure public environments.

Environmental Stewardship and Sustainable Value Chains

Under the overarching L’Oréal for the Future corporate agenda, the Groupe steers its long-term strategy across four key pillars: climate transition stewardship, nature safeguarding, operational circularity, and community support. Through its Inclusive Sourcing initiative, L’Oréal actively partners with suppliers to generate equitable employment and commercial prospects for vulnerable and underrepresented communities, fortifying supply chain resilience.
