In a significant move to empower the rural population and alleviate poverty, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has announced the “Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar” program, which involves the distribution of 3 to 5 acres of government-owned agricultural land to deserving poor families.

  • Kissan Cards: Providing interest-free loans of Rs 30,000 to Rs 150,000 to 500,000 farmers for seeds and fertilizers.
  • Green Tractor Scheme: Subsidizing 10,000 to 30,000 tractors with a subsidy of up to Rs 1 million per unit for small and medium farmers.
  • Solarization: Converting 8,000 electric and diesel tube wells to solar energy with an 80% subsidy to reduce production costs.
