The PMD’s astronomical data provides specific parameters for the start of the month:

• Birth of the New Moon: The moon is expected to be born at the crossing conjunction point at 5:01 PM (PST) on February 17, 2026.
• Sighting Conditions: Weather conditions across most parts of the country are predicted to be fair or partly cloudy, which is highly favorable for visibility efforts.
