Zero Tolerance: 145 Terrorists Neutralized in Massive 40-Hour Crackdown Across Balochistan.
CM Sarfraz Bugti confirms 145 terrorists neutralized in a massive 40-hour operation across Balochistan.
In a major blow to terror outfits, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has confirmed that security forces have neutralized 145 terrorists in a series of intense intelligence-based operations across the province. This high-stakes crackdown was carried out over a grueling 40-hour period following a wave of coordinated attacks at multiple locations.
Key Highlights of the Offensive:
- Coordinated Response: The operations were launched after militants targeted 12 different sites, including Quetta, Mastung, Gwadar, and Nushki.
- Heavy Casualties for Terror Groups: CM Bugti noted that these casualties are the highest recorded in such a short span since the start of the “war on terror”.
- Sacrifice of Forces: During these intense clashes, 17 law enforcement personnel, including a Navy member, embraced martyrdom while repelling the assaults.
- Civilian Impact: Tragically, 31 civilians, including women and children, were killed by the terrorists before the forces regained full control.
- Foreign Influence: The Chief Minister alleged that the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), which claimed responsibility, is receiving support from foreign territories.
- Government Resolve: CM Bugti lauded the precision of the security personnel and reiterated a “zero-tolerance” policy, stating that the state will not surrender even an inch of territory to violent groups.
The bodies of the neutralized terrorists are currently in the custody of authorities as mopping-up operations continue to ensure the complete elimination of terror remnants.
