Pakistan Freelancing Community Hits Record $856 Million in 9 Months.
Pakistan freelancing earnings 2026
Pakistan’s freelancing community has achieved a record-breaking milestone, generating $856 million in foreign exchange during the first nine months (July–March) of the current financial year. According to data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), this reflects a staggering 50% growth compared to the $567 million earned during the same period last year.
The “Digital Army” Performance
- Exceptional Growth: The $289 million surge highlights the resilience of the country’s independent workforce, which continues to grow despite persistent challenges like internet disruptions and power outages.
- Economic Stabilization: This influx of foreign exchange is serving as a mechanical necessity for stabilizing Pakistan’s national economy and bolstering IT-related exports.
- Youth Empowerment: The milestone underscores the expanding role of the youth in the digital economy, supported by organizations like PAFLA (Pakistan Freelancers Association).
