Tech Ecosystem: Ignite and Mobilink Bank Partner to Establish NIC Sialkot.

Expanding Pakistan’s decentralized digital infrastructure, Ignite National Technology Fund has signed a landmark agreement with a Mobilink Bank-led consortium to establish and operate the National Incubation Center (NIC) Sialkot. Operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), the consortium also includes CyberVision International.

The joint venture is designed to plug directly into Sialkot’s high-yield industrial economy, transforming one of the country’s most prominent manufacturing and export epicenters into a specialized hub for technology-driven startups and e-commerce innovation.

The key leadership from MoITT, Ignite, and Mobilink Bank, the new regional incubation framework aims to bridge the gap between traditional manufacturing and next-generation tech enablement. Sialkot, globally renowned for its sports goods, surgical instruments, and leather exports, will now house a dedicated space to nurture localized tech talent.

The strategic focus areas for the new NIC Sialkot installation include:

• Digitalizing Traditional Industry: Equipping local SME networks with modern enterprise software, supply chain visibility tools, and direct cross-border e-commerce setups.
• FinTech Integration: Leveraging Mobilink Bank’s extensive digital financial footprint to offer specialized incubation, micro-equity funding access, and tailored payment gateways for incoming founders.
