Din Textile Mills Limited (DINT) has completed and operationalised its planned solar power expansion, taking the company’s total operational solar capacity to 12.6 megawatts (MW).

The company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Friday through a formal corporate disclosure that the expanded solar capacity is now fully operational.

Din Textile stated that the expansion supports its commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, as the textile manufacturer seeks to increase the use of renewable energy across its production footprint.

Incorporated in Pakistan in 1988, the company is primarily engaged in the manufacturing and sale of yarn and fabric.

The latest expansion builds on Din Textile’s growing renewable energy footprint and is expected to help the company mitigate high grid electricity tariffs while improving cost competitiveness across its manufacturing operations.

The initiative aligns with a broader trend across Pakistan’s industrial sector, where major manufacturing firms are rapidly adopting captive solar setups to hedge against rising energy overheads and meet international export sustainability standards.
