Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a second consecutive sharp surge on Friday, August 21, 2026, climbing Rs 5,200 to reach a record Rs 477,136 per tola. The domestic rally was driven by strong bullish momentum in global bullion markets, where international gold rose $52 to $4,547 per ounce. In tandem with gold, 10-gram 24K gold rose by Rs 4,458 to Rs 409,067, 22K gold adjusted to Rs 374,991 per 10 grams, and 24K silver prices increased by Rs 210 to settle at Rs 7,379 per tola.

Gold prices in Pakistan increased sharply on Friday, with the price of gold per tola rising Rs 5,200 to Rs 477,136, according to rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 10-gram 24-karat gold increased by Rs 4,458 to Rs 409,067. Meanwhile, 22-karat gold per 10-gram was quoted higher at Rs 374,991.

The latest increase followed a strong rise in international gold prices. The international price of gold climbed $52 to $4,547 per ounce, including a $20 premium.

Gold prices in the domestic market had also recorded a significant increase on Thursday, when the per-tola price rose by Rs 13,700 to Rs 471,936.

Meanwhile, the price of silver increased by Rs 210 to Rs 7,379 per tola on Friday, while 10-gram silver gained Rs 180 to trade at Rs 6,326.

The continued rise in precious metal prices reflects the direct impact of movements in international bullion markets on domestic rates, with global gold rates remaining elevated amid macroeconomic adjustments.
