APGJSA October 2026
✧ GENERATE BRIEFING

Gold prices in domestic markets experienced a downward correction, mirroring softening trends across international bullion trading desks. According to the official pricing data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the benchmark price for 24-karat gold plunged by Rs4,300 per tola to settle at Rs436,336. This domestic pullback directly tracked a corresponding downturn in global spot gold markets, where prices shed $43 per ounce to rest at $4,138. The sharp local correction reverses a portion of the gains registered during the preceding sessions, highlighting continued volatility as domestic bullion prices absorb shifts in international benchmarks and currency fluctuations. Concurrently, precious metal weakness extended to the domestic silver market, where per-tola rates retreated alongside parallel declines in global silver contracts. Market analysts continue to monitor global geopolitical and macroeconomic factors as key drivers determining near-term price trajectories for precious commodities.

Gold prices in Pakistan declined on Saturday, tracking a fall in international bullion markets, with the price of 24-karat gold dropping Rs4,300 per tola to Rs436,336, according to rates issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs3,687 to Rs374,087, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold fell by Rs3,380 to Rs342,925.

The decline followed a drop in international gold prices. The global rate fell $43 per ounce to $4,138, compared with $4,181 recorded a day earlier.

Previous Session Context

On Friday, domestic gold prices had increased by Rs2,000 per tola to Rs440,636, after declining Rs3,000 on Thursday. The latest move therefore reversed part of the previous day’s gain.

Silver Market Movements

Silver prices also moved lower in the domestic market:

  • Per Tola Silver: Declined Rs56 to Rs6,522.
  • 10-Gram Silver: Fell Rs48 to Rs5,591.

In the international market, silver also weakened, falling $0.56 to $60.44 per ounce, according to APGJSA rates reported by APP.

Domestic bullion prices generally track international gold movements, while exchange-rate fluctuations and local market conditions can also influence prices in Pakistan. The latest decline comes after gold had reached elevated levels in recent weeks.
