The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has extended the suspension of trading in the shares of Nirala MSR Foods Limited for an additional 60 days, effective August 12, 2026.
The regulatory extension follows the company’s persistent failure to rectify multiple statutory and regulatory non-compliances flagged in earlier notices issued by the exchange.
Regulatory Non-Compliance and Causes of Suspension
According to official notice PSX/N-992 issued on August 11, 2026—a follow-up to Notice PSX/N-708 from June 12, 2026—the company has failed to remove the core grounds for its trading halt under Clauses 5.11.1.(b)(c)(d) and 5.11.2.(b) of the PSX Regulations.
Key compliance breaches include:
- Failure to Hold Annual General Meetings (AGMs): Statutory corporate governance meetings remain pending.
- Non-Submission of Financials: Failure to submit mandatory annual audited accounts.
- Unpaid Regulatory Dues: Failure to clear outstanding financial dues owed to the exchange.
SECP Winding-Up Petition and Statutory Authority
Compounding its regulatory defaults, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has already initiated legal proceedings and filed a court petition for the winding-up of Nirala MSR Foods Limited.
The stock exchange executed the 60-day extension under powers granted under Sub-Section (7) of Section 19 of the Securities Act, 2015, in conjunction with Clause 5.11 of PSX Regulations.
Trading in Nirala MSR Foods shares will remain completely halted until the company fully rectifies all defaults or until the fresh 60-day statutory period lapses. Notice of the extension has been formally dispatched to the SECP, Central Depository Company (CDC), National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL), and key market intermediaries.
