Pakistani fintech unicorn ABHI has officially expanded its Gulf operational footprint by partnering with Saudi Arabia's NOX Group. The partnership enables NOX Group employees to access Earned Wage Access (EWA)—allowing workers to withdraw accrued wages in real-time prior to their regular monthly payroll run. The agreement accelerates ABHI’s broader market expansion across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. As Saudi Arabia advances its Vision 2030 financial sector development agenda, Pakistani technology and fintech enterprises are increasingly using the Kingdom as a primary international growth vector.

Pakistani embedded finance platform ABHI has entered into a commercial agreement with Saudi Arabia–based NOX Group5 to deploy its Earned Wage Access (EWA) infrastructure across the enterprise’s workforce. Under the terms of the deal, eligible NOX Group staff will be able to draw down against their accrued monthly earnings in real-time through ABHI’s mobile platform.

ABHI Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Omair Ansari highlighted that the partnership underlines the startup’s strategy to deliver financial wellness tools and liquidity solutions across high-growth emerging markets.

Expanding GCC Footprint & Corporate Portfolio

The agreement adds to ABHI’s growing corporate footprint within Saudi Arabia. In recent months, the fintech has onboarded several Saudi-based enterprises—including online car platform Syarah, tech agency Squadio, QBS, and aviation support provider TAM Aerospace & Defense.

  • Operational Mechanics: ABHI’s EWA app interfaces with local corporate systems and Saudi Arabia’s Wage Protection System (WPS). Employees can withdraw earned funds within 30 seconds to any domestic bank account or digital wallet, avoiding reliance on high-interest personal loans or credit card advances.
  • Enterprise Benefits: The service is delivered at zero capital outlay to employers, reducing administrative HR overheads associated with manual salary advances while driving employee retention.

Alignment with Saudi Vision 2030

Saudi Arabia’s Financial Sector Development Program—a core pillar of Vision 2030—has driven regulatory updates designed to attract foreign financial technology platforms and increase competition in digital banking and embedded credit.

For Pakistani startups, the Gulf market offers an attractive environment for cross-border software monetization and dollar/riyal-denominated revenue diversification.
