Pakistan Stock Exchange-listed Zuma Resources Limited has established a wholly owned subsidiary, Zuma Global Ltd, in the United Kingdom to scale its international digital connectivity and IT operations. Incorporated in England and Wales on September 18, 2026, under the UK Companies Act 2006, the London-headquartered entity is directed by Pakistani national Sohaib Anwar and focuses on IT consultancy and telecommunication services. The firm has initiated formal regulatory engagement with Ofcom to launch physical SIMs, digital eSIMs, and a global marketplace platform covering over 120 countries, utilizing infrastructure partnerships such as its arrangement with Telna North America. This international expansion marks a continuation of Zuma's strategic pivot from its former textile business, previously operating as Bilal Fibres Limited, toward high-growth technology, AI-enabled services, e-commerce, and digital connectivity markets.
Pakistan Stock Exchange-listed Zuma Resources Limited has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary in the United Kingdom as part of its strategy to expand its technology and digital connectivity business into international markets.
The new entity, Zuma Global Ltd, was incorporated in England and Wales on September 18, 2026, under the UK Companies Act 2006. The company said the subsidiary will facilitate its UK operations and support the group’s international connectivity expansion.
Zuma Global has its registered office in London, with its stated activities including information technology consultancy, other IT services and telecommunications activities. Sohaib Anwar, a Pakistani national, has been appointed as its director.
The company is now progressing towards launching digital eSIMs, physical SIMs and other connectivity solutions in the UK through its technology platforms, including its global eSIM marketplace, sim.market. The planned services will be introduced progressively, subject to regulatory, commercial and technical requirements.
Zuma said it has initiated formal regulatory engagement with Ofcom, the UK communications regulator, as part of the market-entry process. It is also aligning its customer framework, digital platforms and operations with applicable UK regulatory and consumer-compliance requirements.
The UK expansion follows Zuma’s broader shift from its previous textile-focused business. The company, formerly known as Bilal Fibres Limited, changed its name to Zuma Resources and moved its principal business towards information technology, with a focus on technology, AI-enabled services, EV technology, health tech and e-commerce.
Zuma had earlier entered the global connectivity market through a travel eSIM initiative and said its platform could provide access to a global marketplace covering more than 120 countries. In March, the company also announced a strategic partnership with Telna North America for global eSIM and physical SIM connectivity services.
The company expects the UK to become an important operating base for its international expansion. However, the rollout of its SIM and digital connectivity services remains subject to regulatory approvals and other market-entry requirements.
