Lucky Cement AGM dividend NRL investment 2026
✧ GENERATE BRIEFING

Lucky Cement’s 33rd AGM approved a Rs 5 final dividend, FY2026 accounts, auditor reappointment, and up to Rs 1.2 billion of equity for NRL’s Balochistan exploration. Lucky Cement Limited successfully concluded its 33rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) at its registered factory premises in Pezu, District Lakki Marwat. Shareholders formally approved a final cash dividend of Rs 5.00 per share (250%) for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, marking a step-up from the previous year's payout. The meeting adopted the annual audited financial accounts, which recorded a robust consolidated profit after tax of Rs 96.46 billion (translating to a consolidated EPS of Rs 60.78). Shareholders also reappointed A.F. Ferguson & Co. as external auditors and approved a strategic equity investment of up to Rs 1.2 billion over two years into associated entity National Resources Limited (NRL) to back mineral and copper-gold exploration projects in Balochistan.

Lucky Cement shareholders wrapped up the company’s 33rd annual general meeting on Friday with a familiar mix of cash and ambition.

The session was held at noon at the registered office in Pezu, District Lakki Marwat. Resolutions adopted there are now effective and have been filed with the exchange.

Shareholders Lock In A Higher Cash Payout

Members approved a final cash dividend of Rs 5 per share, or 250 percent, for the year ended 30 June 2026.

The payout goes to shareholders on the register as of 17 September 2026. That is a step up from last year’s Rs 4 and keeps Lucky on a modest but rising cash-return path.

At current prices the yield remains steady, while the conservative payout ratio preserves capital for core expansions and strategic plays.

Accounts And Auditors Get A Clean Pass

The meeting adopted the audited accounts, along with the directors’ and auditors’ reports, for the year just closed.

For FY2026, Lucky Cement posted a landmark consolidated profit after tax of Rs 96.46 billion, with a consolidated basic earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 60.78, up from Rs 52.53 in the previous year. Unconsolidated profit also reflected strong domestic performance and robust other income streams.

A. F. Ferguson & Co. was reappointed as external auditor until the next AGM, on a mutually agreed fee plus taxes and actual out-of-pocket costs.

A Bigger Bet On Balochistan Resources

The forward-looking core of the special business sat in the authorization of equity injections of up to Rs 1.2 billion into associated company National Resources (Private) Limited (NRL) over two years.

The funds are meant to finance NRL’s operational scale-up and exploration of natural resources across mineral leases in Balochistan, including work through dedicated project subsidiaries where NRL holds stakes.

The board retains the flexibility to time subscriptions, hold or adjust positions as project feasibility evolves. NRL is a prominent Pakistani joint venture targeting high-potential copper-gold mineralization in the province.

Related-Party Deals Get Advance Cover

Members also ratified related-party transactions disclosed for FY2026 and gave the board advance general authority to approve routine commercial dealings with group companies in FY2027, which will return to the next AGM for formal confirmation.

Taken together, the meeting reinforced a theme of operational continuity and calculated growth: a larger cash dividend, trusted auditing continuity, and an expanded chequebook for mineral exploration.
