Operational Asset Footprint

EPQL is an independent power producer established in 2006 and headquartered in Karachi. It operates a 217-megawatt combined-cycle power plant near Qadirpur in Ghotki district, Sindh. The facility began commercial operations in March 2010.

The plant primarily uses permeate gas from the Qadirpur gas field, a by-product that was previously flared, while high-speed diesel serves as backup fuel. The facility contributes to Pakistan’s electricity supply by using this gas resource for power generation.
